
Beef meatballs

Wash the fat and meat, cut into small cubes.

Peel one onion and cut it into several pieces.

Peel the garlic and finely chop.

Pass the meat, fat, and onion through a meat grinder. Add finely chopped garlic, oat flakes, mineral water, egg, salt, and pepper.

Mix thoroughly, then lightly beat the meat mixture against the table. Place in a bowl, cover with a lid, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Peel the remaining onion and cut it into cubes.

Wash the bell pepper, remove the seeds, and cut into cubes.

Wash the apples, peel them, and cut into cubes.

Wash the carrots, peel them, and grate on a coarse grater.

Pour boiling water over the tomatoes for a minute, then remove the skin and blend in a blender.

Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan, heat it, add the onion and sauté. As soon as the onion becomes translucent, add the carrots and sauté a little longer. Then add the chopped tomatoes to the vegetables. Simmer, stirring, until half of the liquid has evaporated. Add some minced garlic and salt. Remove from heat and let it steep for a while.

Place half of the sliced bell pepper into the baking dish. On top, shape and place the meatballs. Cover everything with the remaining half of the sliced pepper, chopped apples, and herbs. Add a bay leaf.

Place the vegetable sauce over the meatballs and vegetables/fruits. Cover the dish with a lid and put it in the oven. Bake for 80 minutes at 170 degrees.
