Meatballs
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Even children will happily eat these meatballs, and you won't need to prepare a separate side dish for them, as they always contain cooked grains such as rice, buckwheat, millet, etc. Cooked rice is most commonly used—it goes wonderfully with any type of meat or poultry. Prepare meatballs from pork, beef, chicken, or fish in just 45-50 minutes. If desired, you can use ready-made minced meat to shorten the preparation time. Serve hot.
Instructions

Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Rinse the pork in water, remove tendons and membranes, and cut into medium-sized pieces. Peel and rinse the onion, then cut into quarters. Cook the rice in advance for 20 minutes, then leave it covered for 10 minutes off the heat so it can absorb all the liquid and steam.

Step 2

Pass the pieces of meat and onion through a meat grinder with small holes into a deep container: a bowl or salad bowl. Optionally, you can add a couple of garlic cloves.
- 3
Step 3

Place the boiled rice, then crack a small chicken egg on top. If desired, you can replace it with 3 quail eggs.

Step 4

Add the seasoning, salt, and ground black pepper to the container. Mix thoroughly so that the rice and spices are evenly distributed throughout the meat mixture. If you like fresh herbs, you can wash, chop, and add them to the mince at this stage.

Step 5

Wet your hands with cold water and divide the mixture into equal portions. Roll them into large, round shapes and place them on a plate with flour. Coat evenly on all sides. Optionally, you can skip the flour.
- 6
Step 6

Heat vegetable oil in a high-sided skillet and place the preparations into it. Fry for 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown.
- 7
Step 7

Flip to the other side using a spatula or spoon and reduce the heat to medium. Cook for about 5-6 minutes.

Step 8

Pour in the tomato sauce (I used sauce made from yellow tomatoes); you can substitute it with tomato pulp or juice. Simmer everything over medium heat for 15–20 minutes after it starts boiling. Thanks to the tomato sauce, the meatballs will steam thoroughly inside and become soft and tender in texture.

Step 9

Place them on a plate, pour the sauce on top, and serve hot. Enjoy your meal!
