Prepare the specified ingredients. Taste the lightly salted salmon to determine how much salt to add.

Rinse the fresh cucumber in water, washing off the spines and dust, and trim off the ends. Slice the vegetable into planks, then cut them into small cubes and transfer to a deep bowl. Peel and rinse the onion, dice it the same way, and add it to the cucumber.

Cut the lightly salted salmon into small pieces, removing any bones from the flesh. Place the cut salmon in a container.
