
Cheese Tartlets
Description
Perfect for the table and with drinks. As an appetizer to go with wine, I offer you a recipe for cheese tartlets. The base is plain shortcrust pastry; the filling is béchamel sauce, sautéed onion, and hard cheese. Tartlets with this filling turn out quite hearty and very tasty. They can be served warm or chilled.

1. Prepare the necessary ingredients. Peel the onion.

2. Finely chop the onion and sauté in heated butter (1 tbsp.) until soft; remove from the pan.

3. In a skillet, melt the butter (50 g), add nutmeg, and cook for 30 seconds. Sprinkle in the flour and stir until smooth.

4. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring constantly until smooth. Bring the sauce to a boil. Add the onion and stir.

5. Also add grated cheese, stir, and remove from heat.

6. Spoon the cheese sauce into the tartlet shells. Bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 200°C (400°F).
