
Japanese-style Tartlets
Description
A delicious appetizer for any gathering. Tartlets can be made from shortcrust or puff pastry, or from cheese. For the filling, you can choose any vegetables, fruits, meat, or fish (fresh, canned, or baked), and herbs. They are served chilled or slightly warm. They are very easy to make and quite quick. Serve the appetizer at the table.

1. Open a can of canned tuna and transfer it to a plate. Add mayonnaise, a little lemon juice, and black ground pepper, and mix everything well. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater and finely chop several slices of ham.

2. Divide the puff pastry into strips, then into small squares. Place a tablespoon of tuna in the center of one half, and on the other half pour cream with mustard in the center and add ham. Sprinkle all the tartlets with hard cheese, leaving the edges uncovered.

3. Mix the yolk with water and, using a brush, coat the remaining unfilled edges.

4. Bake everything in an oven preheated to 200 degrees for about 15 minutes, finely chop the green part of the shallots, and garnish the tartlets. Serve them already cooled.
