Tartlets
Description
Homemade pastries for tea. Tarts are quick and easy to make at home—no strange thickeners or exotic ingredients needed. They can be used for both hot and cold appetizers; the possibilities are limited only by your imagination. I'll simply share a tart recipe that will allow you to experiment with fillings as much as you like. For instance, my friend enjoys portioning salads into individual tarts. Use them to decorate your festive table or add variety to your everyday family meals. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Mix all the ingredients. Do not salt the dough. The tartlets will be bland but crispy. They will absorb all the necessary flavor from the filling :)
- 2
Step 2

You can use a mixer.
- 3
Step 3

You will get a uniform, crumbly mixture.
- 4
Step 4

Roll the dough into equal-sized balls.
- 5
Step 5

Roll out small pancakes from the balls, making sure they fit into tartlet molds by radius :)
- 6
Step 6

Line the molds, carefully pressing the dough against the sides. If there is excess dough hanging over, run a rolling pin over the top edges—it will neatly trim off the extra dough.
- 7
Step 7

Bake the tartlets in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 10 minutes. If you plan to use the tartlets for cold appetizers and won't reheat them later, you can bake them for 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
