Instructions

Step 1

1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Slice the tomatoes into 3 mm thick slices and place them on several paper towels to drain off the liquid. Cover the tomatoes with another paper towel on top and let stand for 30 minutes.

2. Meanwhile, remove a sheet of puff pastry from the freezer and let it thaw at room temperature. Place the puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and, using a fork, prick the dough all over to prevent it from puffing up during baking. In a small bowl, mix melted butter with minced garlic, chopped parsley, thyme, and oregano.

Step 3

3. Evenly spread the mixture over the entire surface of the puff pastry.

Step 5

5. Place the tomato slices on top of the cheese. Season well with salt and black pepper.

Step 6

6. Sprinkle the top with the remaining Parmesan cheese.

7. Bake the tart for 30 minutes, until the crust is golden brown and the cheese has melted. Remove the tart from the oven and let it cool on a rack for 5 minutes. Cut into 6 squares and serve immediately.
