Plum and hazelnut tart

Description

The recipe won't take much time. Instead of plums, you can also use raspberries in this recipe. Serve chilled.

    1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees. Grease a pie pan and set aside. Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet. Bake until fragrant, 10 to 15 minutes, then cool and remove the skins. Place the nuts in a food processor and chop.

    2. Place the nuts in a bowl and add flour, sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt; mix well. Chill the butter and cut it into pieces. Add the butter and beat with a mixer at low speed for about 2–3 minutes, until the mixture resembles crumbs.

    3. Press 3 cups of dough into the prepared pan, pressing it to the bottom and forming edges 3.5 cm high around the sides. Set aside the remaining dough (about 1 1/2 cups). Bake the dough in the pan for 15 to 20 minutes. Let it cool.

    4. Cut the plums in half and remove the pits. Slice each plum into 4 pieces (if small) or 8 pieces (if large).

    5. Spread over the chilled dough. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, egg, egg yolk, cream, milk, cinnamon, salt, and a few pinches of fresh nutmeg. Pour this mixture over the plums, then sprinkle with the remaining dough crumbs.

    6. Bake the tart in the oven until golden brown, 45 to 50 minutes. Let it cool for at least 25 minutes before slicing. Serve the tart warm, at room temperature, or fully chilled.
