
Blackberry and Pistachio Tart
Description
Perfect with tea and coffee. The tart is a classic French pie made with shortcrust pastry and a fruit filling. Serve cooled or slightly warm.

1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees with the rack in the center of the oven. Line a round or square baking pan with parchment paper. Generously grease the parchment with butter and set aside. Mix together wheat flour, coconut flakes, sugar, and salt in a bowl.

2. Mix with melted butter until evenly combined with the dry ingredients. Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press it firmly into an even, flat layer, like a crust. Bake for 15 minutes, until lightly golden. Remove and let cool for a few minutes while you prepare the filling.

3. Mix the coconut flakes, sugar, and egg whites. Evenly place the halved blackberries on top of the chilled crust.
