Description

If using frozen dough, thaw it first. Preheat the oven to 200°. Slice the tomatoes into rounds. In a skillet melt the butter and add the sugar. Stir until the sugar turns into a light caramel. Add the tomatoes, press the garlic through a press. Simmer the vegetables over low heat for 2–3 minutes.

Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper to taste. Grease the pan with butter and arrange the tomatoes.

Roll out the dough to the size of the pan. Cover the tomatoes with the dough, folding the edges. Bake the pie for 25–30 minutes. Let it stand for a few minutes.

Cover the pan with a plate and, with a quick confident motion, flip the tart. Sprinkle with oregano.
