Melt-in-your-mouth buns
Description
The pastry is easy and quick to prepare. In this case, the filling is a puree with sautéed mushrooms and onions, but if desired, you can fill these buns with cabbage, liver, or meat, for example. The dough turns out so tender and fluffy that it truly melts in your mouth. I recommend this recipe to all lovers of homemade savory pastries. Serve with tea or coffee.
Instructions

Step 1

1. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of warm milk, sugar, yeast, and 4 tablespoons of flour. Let it sit for 10 minutes, covered with a clean towel or plastic wrap.

Step 2

2. Meanwhile, pour warm milk, sour cream, eggs, vegetable oil, and a pinch of salt into a deep bowl. Beat everything until smooth (a mixer works well for this). Add 2.5 cups of flour, continuing to beat. Then, you can transfer the starter into the bowl.

Step 3

3. Add the remaining flour in small portions, kneading the dough. When ready, place the dough in a warm spot for about an hour to let it rise.

Step 4

4. This is what it will look like when it has risen. By the way, this is a good time to prepare the filling. Boil the potatoes until cooked, mash them into a puree, then add the mushrooms sautéed with onions. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 5

5. Then it's quite simple: pinch off a piece of dough and roll it into a flat round. Place the filling in the center.

Step 6

6. Carefully seal the edges, shaping the turnover.

Step 7

7. It remains only to fry the buns in a pan with well-heated vegetable oil until golden brown on both sides.
