Description
If you bought shelled pine nuts, toast them slightly in a dry skillet or microwave. This will enhance their aroma and kill any microorganisms present, as it's unknown where they were stored or who handled them. There's no need to thaw the berries; otherwise, they will turn into mush and ruin the dessert.
