Hearty gusariki
Description
Serve these hearty gusariki slightly warm. Eating them while very hot is not recommended, either from a gastronomic standpoint or from the perspective of healthy eating. Gusariki actually taste even better when they have cooled slightly. It's best not to serve them immediately after baking. They can be served with tea or coffee.
Instructions

Step 1

To prepare hearty gusariki, take minced meat. I made the minced meat at home by grinding veal through a meat grinder.
- 2
Step 2

I also pass the onion through the meat grinder. The onion can be finely chopped into small cubes, or you can use a blender for grinding. Add the minced onion to the meat mixture. Add 1 whole egg and the egg white from another egg.

Step 3

Add salt and ground black pepper to the minced meat. Mix the meat, adding 0.5 cup of water. The meat will absorb the water, making the mince more uniform and juicy.

Step 4

Thaw the puff pastry. Dust with flour and roll it out into a sheet. Use a glass to cut out circles, making sure you have an even number of them. With a smaller glass, cut out a smaller hole in half of these circles.
- 5
Step 5

Brush the whole circles with beaten yolk. Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each.
- 6
Step 6

Cover the edges of the bottom circle with smaller ring-shaped pieces. Press the edges of the dough with a fork to create a decorative border.
- 7
Step 7

Transfer the circles to a baking sheet. Brush the edges of the dough with egg yolk. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Bake the pastries in the oven for 15 minutes.
- 8
Step 8

Remove the hearty gusariki from the oven. Let them cool slightly. Transfer to a serving dish.
