Description

Homemade treats are not only the most delicious but also the healthiest. You can safely give them to children, as they contain no harmful ingredients. This dish is very simple to prepare: mix all the ingredients in a bowl, shape them as desired, and place in the refrigerator. Halva can be stored for several days and served with tea or other beverages. 1. Use peeled seeds or buy unpeeled ones and shell them yourself. Be sure to dry the seeds thoroughly—this can be done in the oven, microwave, or on a regular skillet. 2. Place dried fruits (dates and raisins) in a bowl and cover completely with warm water. Let them soak for half an hour, then rinse under cold water and gently squeeze out excess moisture. 3. Grind the dried seeds in a blender. If you don't have a blender, wrap them in a towel and crush with a rolling pin. Similarly, process the dates in a blender or chop finely with a knife (doing it by hand will take much longer). 4. Mix all the dried fruits together in a bowl, shaping them into a "sausage," candies, or any other desired form. If the mixture doesn't hold together, add a little honey. 5. Place the halva in the refrigerator for about an hour, then serve.
