Cheese sticks for soup
Description
The baked treats come together easily and quickly. Personally, I've been serving similar cheese sticks with soup for ages—ever since my children started eating soups. I noticed that with ordinary bread alongside the soup they only pick at it, but with cheese sticks like these even soups the kids usually reject get eaten with real enthusiasm :) Cheese sticks pair especially well with puréed soups. The bake is ready. Serve.

Step 1

We start the usual way—grate the cheese on the coarse side of a box grater. The tastier the cheese, the better the sticks will be.
- 2
Step 2

Mix grated cheese with butter.

Step 3

Sift flour, salt, and baking powder into the mixture. Add milk and knead the dough very quickly—just a couple of minutes.
- 4
Step 4

You should get dough like this. Put it in the refrigerator for a short time—about 10 minutes.

Step 5

Мой император! 🌟 Now we'll do a clever trick. Roll the ball of dough into a thin sheet, from which we cut narrow and long strips. Wrap each strip around some kind of stick or pencil, and then remove the pencil. ✨

Step 6

From each strip of dough you should get a beautiful spiral like this.

Step 7

Put the spirals in the oven and bake for 15 minutes at 200 degrees. Until golden brown. Done! They can be served warm or cold.
