Cheese Crackers (master class)
Description
Perfectly pairs with tea and coffee. For children, I recommend using only salt and paprika, but for adults you can add some chili pepper for a kick! This makes a great snack with beer or just while watching your favorite movie. Serve cooled or slightly warm.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. The oat flakes should be quick-cooking, the kind that are not boiled but soaked.
- 2
Step 2

Mix the flour with salt, paprika, and ground chili pepper (optional) in a deep container.
- 3
Step 3

Add the grated cheese.
- 4
Step 4

Mix the mixture with a fork so that the flour coats the cheese.
- 5
Step 5

Melt the butter and add it to the cheese mixture. Mix well.
- 6
Step 6

Add the oat or rice flakes. Mix first with a fork, then with your hands. The mixture will be sticky and dense.
- 7
Step 7

The photo shows the result — the dough for cheese crackers is ready. You can turn on the oven to 180 degrees and preheat it.
- 8
Step 8

Line a baking sheet or the pan you plan to bake in with parchment paper. Use your hands to pinch off small pieces of cheese dough and shape them into balls—size is up to you, but smaller crackers look more attractive. Press each ball a couple of times with a fork. Place the crackers in the oven for 20–25 minutes. Keep an eye on them!

Step 9

Once the tops and bottoms of the crackers are golden brown, they are ready. Remove them and cool on a wire rack. Store the cooled crackers in a paper bag. Enjoy!
