Description
Suitable for both holidays and everyday meals. Cheese chips are a wonderful addition to appetizers. They work well as a garnish for salads, mashed potatoes, and spicy dishes, as well as seafood. Cheese chips are also delicious on their own. Serve warm or chilled.

Step 1

1. Grate the cheese. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and a silicone mat. Using an ice cream scoop, place the grated cheese on the silicone mat, leaving space between the mounds of cheese. They should not touch. Flatten the mounds. The cheese should be about 10 centimeters in diameter. If desired, sprinkle the chips with black pepper, paprika, or parsley, although many prefer not to season them at all. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 5–7 minutes.

2. After you take the cheese chips out of the oven, wait a couple of seconds and, using a thin metal spatula, transfer them from the silicone mat. Wrap the chips around a rolling pin or shape them any other way you like. You can also leave them as they are, without changing their shape, when you remove them from the oven.
