Cheese and cream sauce

A delicious addition to everyday and festive dishes. This sauce should be served immediately after preparation. While it remains hot, it will be liquid. After it cools completely, it may thicken significantly. Also, the cold sauce may easily separate. Perfect with pasta, meat, and vegetables.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Place a frying pan on the stove and heat it. Reduce the heat to the minimum and add the flour to the pan.
- 2
Step 2

Add the butter, cut into pieces, to the flour. Since this sauce contains heavy cream, do not overdo the butter, otherwise the sauce will turn out too heavy and greasy.
- 3
Step 3

Wait until the butter melts. Sauté it with the flour in a pan for about three minutes, stirring constantly to prevent the flour from burning.
- 4
Step 4

Pour the cream into the flour and butter mixture. The higher the fat content of the cream, the thicker the sauce will be. It's best to choose a product with medium fat content.
- 5
Step 5

Heat the sauce for three minutes, then grate the hard cheese and add it to the pan. Stir thoroughly until it dissolves completely. Serve the sauce, garnished with herbs.
