Syrniki in an air Fryer

Description

Perfect with tea and coffee. You can use cottage cheese of any fat content when making them. If desired, you can add raisins, dried apricots, or dried cranberries to the ingredients. You can replace sugar with your favorite sugar substitute (I also made them with stevia—it turned out great!) and your syrniki will be 100% healthy eating. You can serve them with tea or coffee.

    Prepare the ingredients needed for cooking.

    Put the cottage cheese in a bowl, mash it with a fork, and crack in an egg.

    Add semolina, sugar, and baking powder.

    Mix all the ingredients with a spoon until you get a uniform mixture. Leave the bowl with the cottage cheese mixture undisturbed for 30 minutes so the semolina has time to swell.

    Then, with moistened hands, separate a small portion from the total mixture (weighing about 30 grams) and shape the syrniki patties in a convenient way. Coat each syrnik in flour.

    Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper for convenience, then arrange all the cheese pancake patties on top. Place the basket in the air fryer. Bake the cheese pancakes at 180 degrees for 25 minutes. At around the 15-minute mark I removed the basket from the air fryer and flipped all the cheese pancakes to the other side, then returned them to finish baking.

    The finished syrniki have an appetizing golden crust and are very tender inside. Serve them with your favorite syrup or with sour cream.
