Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients.

Step 2

Place the cottage cheese in a deep plate or bowl and mash it with a fork. Crack a chicken egg into it, add granulated sugar and salt. If desired, you can add vanilla sugar or a couple of drops of vanilla extract. Mash all the contents of the container.

Step 3

Add 3 tbsp of wheat flour and knead a not‑too‑dense cottage‑cheese dough. Neither baking powder nor baking soda should be added to the dough! Sift the remaining flour onto a plate.

Step 4

Heat vegetable oil in a pan. Pinch off a portion of the dough, shape it into a patty-like piece and coat it in flour on a plate on all sides. Place the pieces in the oil and fry over moderate heat until golden brown, then flip to the other side.

Step 5

Fry also until golden brown and place the cooked cheese pancakes onto a plate or dish.

Step 6

Serve them at the table with aromatic tea or coffee, and don’t forget floral honey, sour cream, or sweet jam.
