Cheese pancakes

Description

What do you think of these cottage cheese pancakes? :) I didn't follow any outside recipes or recommendations while making them, so this dish is purely the result of my cooking skills, imagination, and good mood. The pancakes turned out both delicious and quite original. Oh, and just a small technical note: if you use low-fat cottage cheese, you'll need fewer binding ingredients. It's believed that in this case the pancakes taste more natural and cottage-cheese-like, but personally, I don't enjoy the taste of low-fat cottage cheese, so I always use authentic homemade cottage cheese. Everything else is in the step-by-step recipe for "Fruit Snake" pancakes. Good luck with cooking—enjoy the process! ;)

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

    Basic ingredients.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Mash the cottage cheese with a fork in a bowl. I don't recommend using a blender to puree the cottage cheese, as the dough for shaping snakes needs to be quite thick. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with sugar and a pinch of salt.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Pour the beaten eggs into the mashed cottage cheese and mix well.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Add 2-3 cups of flour, mix until the dough reaches a consistency that does not fall off the fork.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Sprinkle the table with flour and start shaping the snakes.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Shape each snake using about one heaping tablespoon of dough. Try not to make them too long or thin, as they will be difficult to flip in the pan. Make plenty of "body bends"—you can even twist them into rings, which are very easy to flip and convenient to eat afterward. However, crawling snakes look more attractive. Taper the tail slightly at the end, and thicken the part where the head will be attached.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

Heat a skillet and fry the sausages over medium heat, showing off your acrobatic skills when flipping them. Use two spatulas: one large one as the main tool and a narrow, long one for support. Don't place the sausages too close together on the skillet, otherwise there won't be enough space to flip them.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

While the snakes are frying, slice the strawberries and banana into very thin pieces. The thinner the slices, the more evenly the "scales" will lie and hold together. Set aside a few small strawberries and banana ends—we'll use them to make the snake heads.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

Remove the fried cheese pancakes from the pan and carefully, without breaking off the tails, place them onto a plate. Starting from the tail, arrange a "scale pattern" using bananas and strawberries. You should end up with a beautiful fruit snake on the cheese pancakes. Use whole strawberries and banana chunks to shape the head, attach it to the body using a toothpick, insert a parsley or celery stalk for the tongue, and place chocolate drops as eyes.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

Arrange fruit "snakes" on the remaining pancakes in the same way. Don't be afraid to show your own creativity—it's highly encouraged ;)

  11. 11

    Step 11

    Step 11

That's it - the "Fruit Snake" cheese pancakes are ready. ;)
