
Yeast syrniki
Description
The baked goods are easy and quick to make. Simple, fluffy, and very tasty cheesecakes for the whole family! For the best result, I recommend using cottage cheese with a high fat content. Adjust the amount of sugar to taste. You can also add vanilla, raisins, or cinnamon to the dough. The recipe is from an old cookbook; my tasters gave it top marks, and I hope you’ll like it too. The baked goods are ready. Serve at the table.

Prepare all the ingredients according to the list. You may use cottage cheese of any fat content. Adjust the amount of sugar to your taste.

Combine warm milk and yeast. Add 1 tsp sugar, stir, and let stand for 10 minutes.

Purée the cottage cheese in a blender, or press it through a sieve.

Combine the cottage cheese, eggs, salt, and the remaining sugar. Add the yeast mixture.

Mix and add the flour in portions. You may need slightly more or less flour than specified in the recipe. Do not overload the dough with flour; it should be soft and slightly sticky.

Gather the dough into a ball, dust with flour, and let rest for 1 hour in a warm place.

Pinch off pieces of the dough and shape the syrniki. If the dough sticks badly to your hands, roll the pieces in flour.

Fry in vegetable oil on both sides until golden brown; keep the heat low.
