Cheese Snail
Description
The recipe won't take much time. We'll use puff pastry. Grate the cheese and slice the sausages into rounds. Wrap the sausages and cheese in the pastry and bake. Instead of ayran—for brushing the dough—you can use kefir or just beaten egg. Bake and enjoy! Good luck. The pastry is ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

There is nothing complicated about preparing this dish; it just requires patience and diligence. First, grate the cheese on a coarse grater. By the way, if you have any brined cheese, such as feta, you can also grate it and then mix it with the other cheese.
- 2
Step 2

To make the pie more filling, we'll add sliced sausages to the filling along with the cheese.
- 3
Step 3

Take the dough and cut it into strips. Each strip should be approximately 7 cm wide and about 20 cm long. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough strips. Do not press too hard—this is important. There's no need to make the strips too thin, as they will tear easily. Then, evenly distribute the filling—cheese with sausage—along each strip.

Step 4

Now, carefully roll the sheet with sausage and cheese into a spiral, and tightly pinch the ends.
- 5
Step 5

Line the baking pan with parchment paper and grease it with butter. From the first sausage-shaped piece, form a small snail-like swirl—that will be the center of your roll. Place this swirl in the middle of the pan. Then continue arranging the dough by coiling the "sausage" around the center.

Step 6

Meanwhile, beat the ayran with the egg.
- 7
Step 7

The resulting mixture should be generously brushed over the pie.
- 8
Step 8

If desired, sprinkle the roll with sesame seeds. Bake for about 40 minutes at 180 degrees. Let the bun cool slightly, then enjoy.
