New Year's Cheese Plate
Description
Choose cheese varieties to suit your taste, as not everyone likes moldy cheeses—some people prefer ordinary processed cheese products. Pair them with ingredients that perfectly complement their flavor without overpowering it. To slice the cheese, coat the knife with vegetable oil. It can be served warm or chilled.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Purchase three to four different types of cheese.
- 2
Step 2

Spoon the floral honey into a round bowl or ramekin and place it in the center of the plate. Remove the brynza from the brine, slice it, and let the slices rest on a board for 5 minutes so the brine drains out. Then arrange them on the plate.

Step 3

Next, slice the Brie cheese and any hard cheese into slices. Arrange on a plate. Add walnut halves to the cheese. If they are soft, dry them in a skillet for 2–3 minutes.
- 4
Step 4

Cut the "Dor Blue" cheese into small slices and use them to finish assembling the cheese platter. If desired, garnish the dish with fresh herbs.
- 5
Step 5

Insert toothpicks into the cheese slices so guests can pick them up more easily, and serve the cheese platter at the table on New Year's Eve.
