Grate the cheese on a grater. Depending on what you need the appetizer for, you can grate it on the coarse or fine side.

Peel the garlic cloves and press them well with a garlic press.

Mix grated cheese and minced garlic, then add mayonnaise. Add the mayonnaise a little at a time, stirring the cheese mixture, until you reach the desired consistency for the appetizer.
