A delicious snack for any gathering. The recipe for making Labneh cheese at home is remarkably simple. Appetizing and delicate, it can be made not only from plain natural yogurt without additives, but also from soy yogurt, for example. The flavor of the finished cheese also depends on the spices used. It can be made spicy, salty, or with a bit of heat. The snack is ready. Serve immediately.

1. Place the yogurt in a bowl and salt to taste. You can also slightly modify the homemade Labneh cheese recipe by making it sweet. Add spices to taste and mix thoroughly.

2. Prepare a colander and line it with cheesecloth folded several times or with special fabric.

3. Transfer the yogurt into cheesecloth.

4. Tie the edges tightly, pressing the yogurt against the cloth as much as possible. Place an appropriately sized plate on top, upside down.

5. Place the colander in the refrigerator with a plate underneath to catch the draining liquid. The classic homemade labneh cheese recipe calls for refrigeration for 15 to 48 hours.

6. Remove the finished cheese and transfer it to a small bowl.

7. At this stage, you can add citrus zest, fresh herbs, and other appetizing extras.

8. Cover the plate with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator. There are many ways to make Labneh cheese at home, but it needs to rest with the spices for at least 3–4 days.
