Step 2

2. Squeeze the garlic using a garlic press.

Step 3

3. Finely chop the ginger root. You can also grate it on a fine grater.

4. Now prepare the marinade. Place garlic and ginger root into a bowl or dish. Add pepper, a pinch of Provencal herbs, and 3-4 cloves. Then pour in soy sauce, add honey and ketchup. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

Step 5

5. Slice the onion into half-rings.

Step 6

6. Place the onion in the dish with the ribs and sprinkle with lemon juice. Then pour in the marinade and mix thoroughly so that the ribs are completely coated. Refrigerate overnight, or if you're really in a hurry, at least for 2 hours.

Step 7

7. Place the marinated pork ribs into a baking bag. Tie the bag closed and make 2-3 small holes in it with a needle. Put the bag with ribs into the preheated oven and bake at 200°C (390°F) for 40-60 minutes. About 15 minutes before the end of cooking, carefully cut open the bag (be careful not to burn yourself!) and continue baking—the ribs will brown nicely.
