1. Thoroughly rinse the ribs under cold water, remove the tendons and membranes. Then cut into portion-sized pieces (2-3 ribs each).

Layer the ribs and onions in it: first a layer of ribs, then a layer of onions, another layer of ribs, and so on, until all the ingredients are used up. Pour beer over everything and place in the refrigerator. Marinate for 3 hours to 24 hours—the longer, the better.

5. When the ribs have marinated, preheat the oven. Place the ribs on a rack, first baking meat-side down for 15-20 minutes, then flip and bake for another 35-40 minutes.
