Grilled pork ribs
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Properly cooked ribs should be tender and juicy inside, and have a nice crispy crust with distinct grill marks on the outside. Serve the ribs with fresh or roasted vegetables and various sauces (tomato-based preferred). Serve hot.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1
Turn on or light the grill and let it preheat. Wash the ribs thoroughly and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Step 2
Using a brush, coat the ribs with sunflower oil and sprinkle with thyme (fresh or dried).
- 3
Step 3
Place the ribs on the grill and cover; cook for about 90 minutes, turning occasionally. Check for doneness (there should be no blood near the bone).
- 4
Step 4
For the sauce: add ketchup, beef broth, chili flakes, sugar, and pressed garlic to a saucepan, then mix.
- 5
Step 5
Place the saucepan over heat and simmer the sauce for 15 minutes, then remove from heat. Brush the ribs on the grill with a brush 2 or 3 times during the last 20 minutes of cooking.
- 6
Step 6
Remove the ribs from the grill and cut into pieces, serve with vegetables and the remaining sauce.
