
Pork chops with wine and garlic
Description
The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. If desired, you can substitute red wine with white wine to obtain a light sauce. The ready dish can be served.

Step 1

1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over high heat. Season the pork cutlets with salt and pepper on both sides and sear for about 2 minutes per side. It is not necessary to fully cook the cutlets at this stage. Remove the cutlets from the skillet and set aside.

2. Reduce the heat to medium and add whole garlic cloves. Stir and cook for a few minutes until golden brown.

3. Pour in the red wine, then add the bay leaf. Stir and increase the heat if necessary. Simmer the sauce for several minutes until it thickens.

4. Pour in the beef broth, mix well. Return the pork cutlets to the skillet, arranging them so they float in the sauce.

5. Cook for a few minutes, then pour in the balsamic vinegar. Shake the pan and cook for a couple more minutes.

6. Remove the cutlets from the pan and continue cooking the sauce until it thickens slightly and the garlic becomes soft.

7. Add 1 tablespoon of butter, a pinch of salt and pepper, mix well.

8. Place the pork cutlets on a serving dish, then pour the sauce over the top (including the garlic). Serve with a green salad.
