Pork stewed with potatoes
Description
Sear the meat directly in the pot where you'll be preparing the dish. Slice the potatoes, sauté the onion separately, then add everything to the pot. Add water, spices, and simmer for 40-50 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Cut the pork meat into 2 cm pieces.
- 2
Step 2

Transfer the meat to a pot with hot oil and fry it.
- 3
Step 3

Meanwhile, peel the potatoes (I'm using young ones) and cut them into pieces.
- 4
Step 4

Add spices and salt to the meat. I have a mixture of different peppers.
- 5
Step 5

In a separate skillet, sauté the onion in oil.
- 6
Step 6

Pour 1.5 cups of boiling water into the meat. Add potatoes. Mix well. Cover with a lid and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to the lowest setting and continue simmering until some of the potatoes begin to break apart. Stir several times during this process.
- 7
Step 7

Add the fried onion 5 minutes before turning off the heat. Mix and simmer everything together.
- 8
Step 8

Serve the finished dish garnished with herbs.
