Pork with mushrooms in sauce

Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. I got this very simple recipe for pork with mushrooms in sauce from my mother. She always liked its simplicity — after all, it takes no more than 30 minutes to prepare. Plus, the ingredients are quite basic and usually already available in the fridge. Pork with mushrooms in sauce has a very pleasant, delicate flavor, somewhat reminiscent of the beloved beef stroganoff. Although, of course, the preparation method is slightly different, and beef is used in stroganoff instead of pork. Anyway, it's worth trying. I hope you'll enjoy this pork with mushrooms in sauce recipe: 1. Wash the pork, dry it with paper towels, and cut into small pieces. 2. Season the pork with salt and pepper, then fry in a generous amount of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the meat in batches, as it should be fried, not stewed in its own juices. Transfer the fried pieces to a plate. 3. Meanwhile, chop the onion and slice the mushrooms thinly. 4. In the same skillet used for the pork, sauté the onion. Once cooked, add it to the fried meat on the plate. 5. Add a little more oil to the same skillet and sauté the mushrooms over medium heat for about 4–5 minutes, stirring regularly. Add 1/3 cup of water and wait until the liquid reduces by half. 6. Then add cream or sour cream, a few drops of lemon juice, and return the fried meat and onion to the skillet. Mix everything thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper. 7. Simmer the mixture gently for a short time, making sure it doesn't come to a boil. Simply let everything cook together for a few minutes. Then remove from heat and serve. The dish is ready and can be served at the table.
