Pork with prunes
Description
Pork with prunes (a quick recipe I found on a foreign blog) is a very original dish, so it can impress guests at a festive table or your loved one during a romantic dinner. The prunes give the pork a slightly sweet flavor, which is more of a plus than a minus. The dish can be served on its own, but in my opinion, it's much better served with a potato side dish. Well, shall we give it a try?
Instructions

Step 1

Cut the pork tenderloin into medium-sized cubes and coat in flour. You can add a little salt.
- 2
Step 2

Place the sliced pork onto a very well-heated pan with a small amount of oil. Sear for 3-4 minutes over high heat. We need the pieces to develop a firm crust, while still remaining slightly undercooked inside.

Step 3

Remove the pork from the skillet and set it aside. Then, in the same skillet, sauté finely chopped onion and garlic until translucent.

Step 4

Then add the pork, prunes (do not chop the prunes, add them whole), and port wine to the pan. Over high heat, evaporate all the port wine, then add water (or broth), reduce the heat, and simmer covered for 15–20 minutes, until the liquid has evaporated.

Step 5

Check the pork - if it's cooked, remove the dish from heat and serve. If not cooked, add more water and continue simmering until the pork is done.
