Pork with lingonberry sauce

Description

The recipe won't take much time. Meat with berry sauce is already a classic. That's why pork with lingonberries instantly appealed to me. You don't necessarily need to use pork tenderloin to prepare pork in lingonberry sauce—you can bake ribs or pan-fry steaks instead. I used fresh lingonberries, which I mashed with sugar. In winter, you can confidently use lingonberry jam (just not overly sweet). Serve hot.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

Prepare the ingredients. Wash and dry the meat, and wash the berries as well (you can sprinkle them with sugar beforehand).

    Step 2

Grind the sugar-coated berries in a blender until pureed.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Peel the garlic head, and you can cut each clove in half.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

If you have a large piece of meat, like I do, cut it into two halves. Insert garlic into it from all sides.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Then marinate the meat in soy sauce and rub it with tomato paste.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Let it marinate for two to three hours.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

After two hours, wrap the meat more tightly in foil and place it in a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 40 minutes.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

While the meat is roasting, prepare a sauce from grated lingonberries and mustard. Mix the berries with mustard seeds.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

Remove the meat after 40 minutes, carefully unwrap the foil, and generously brush the meat with sauce. Return the dish to the oven for another 10-15 minutes.

    Step 10

Pork with lingonberry sauce has a divine aroma and a very tender flavor. Serve with fresh vegetables, potatoes, or any other side dish.
