Pork in sauce
Description
By adding the carrots and onions at the same time, we prevent them from browning; instead, they gently simmer in the oil. The result is a dish full of juiciness, tenderness, and aroma, while the meat also retains all its juices. It turns out very delicious.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Slice the onion into half-rings.
- 2
Step 2

The meat should be cut into strips.
- 3
Step 3

Grate the carrot on a coarse grater. Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan. Add the carrot and onion to the saucepan at once. Stir and simmer. The vegetables will almost immediately start to cook in the pan and will hardly brown at all.
- 4
Step 4

When the vegetables become very soft, add the meat. Simmer everything together, covering the pan with a lid. Cooking time — 30 minutes.
- 5
Step 5

Finely chop the mushrooms. Add to the meat and mix. Add any spices (to taste) and salt.
- 6
Step 6

Add a little water and simmer for another 20 minutes. The meat should become tender, practically melting in your mouth. Serve the dish with any side dish. I use buckwheat, but it will be delicious with any porridge or mashed potatoes.
