
Pork with mustard sauce

Prepare the ingredients.

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Heat a spoonful of oil in a frying pan and sear the pork piece on all sides until golden brown.

Transfer the meat to a heatproof dish. Add another spoon of oil to the pan and add the thinly sliced onion. Fry, stirring, until lightly browned. Add the peeled apple, grated on a coarse grater, and mustard. Simmer for a couple of minutes, then pour in about a cup of boiling water and cook for another couple of minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Pour the sauce over the meat, cover the dish with foil, and bake in the oven for about an hour. Check the meat by piercing it with a thin knife—the juice that comes out should be clear. Remove the foil and brown the meat for 5-10 minutes by increasing the temperature to 200 degrees.
