Description

The dish is prepared without unnecessary complications. I won't claim that this Polish-style pork recipe is extremely simple and that you'll easily manage it—this is not the case at all. Yes, it will take you a bit more time and effort to prepare this dish, but believe me, it's absolutely worth it. In the end, you'll get incredibly tender and aromatic meat, complete with a side dish, as in Poland this pork is traditionally served with dumplings. Overall, it's hearty, delicious, and very rich—true to the best traditions of Polish cuisine. This wonderful dish will definitely delight all true meat lovers; it's so vibrant and attractive that you can confidently serve it to guests. Or even better, organize a full-themed evening featuring Polish dishes, invite friends and family, and have a wonderful time. To help you handle this task more easily, I'm offering you my detailed Polish-style pork recipe with photos. The finished dish is ready to be served.

Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

    Step 1

First, we need to prepare the dough for the buns. Sift the flour, mix the egg with salt in a glass, and add this mixture to the flour.

  2. 2

    Step 2

    Step 2

Start kneading the dough, gradually adding milk. The dough should turn out elastic and firm, and should not stick to your hands. When ready, place it in a plastic bag and set in a warm place for about half an hour.

  3. 3

    Step 3

    Step 3

Cut the leek into half-rings and fry in a cauldron with added oil until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Step 4

Cut the pepper and onion into small cubes, and cut the meat into medium cubes with sides of approximately 2-3 centimeters.

  5. 5

    Step 5

    Step 5

Transfer the leek to a bowl, then add a little oil to the cauldron and place it over high heat. Add the meat and start frying, turning it, until a golden crust forms. This should be done in small batches; otherwise, the meat will simmer instead of frying. Don't forget to add a little spice to each new batch of meat while frying.

  6. 6

    Step 6

    Step 6

Then transfer all the fried meat to a cauldron and add onion, mix and fry everything together for about 5-7 minutes over high heat.

  7. 7

    Step 7

    Step 7

When the onion becomes soft and releases its juice, add the chopped pepper to the cauldron and mix.

  8. 8

    Step 8

    Step 8

Add the tomatoes in their own juice, mix and simmer over low heat. Now taste the liquid and add salt and ground pepper if necessary.

  9. 9

    Step 9

    Step 9

While our pork is simmering, we will prepare the buns. To do this, sprinkle the table with flour and roll out the prepared dough into a thin layer. Place the fried leek onion on it, spreading it evenly across the entire surface.

  10. 10

    Step 10

    Step 10

Now roll the dough into a log and cut it into small pieces about 1.5-2 centimeters wide.

  11. 11

    Step 11

    Step 11

Add peppercorns to the cauldron and place the buns inside. Simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.

    Step 12

    Step 12

Add finely chopped herbs to the dish 1-2 minutes before it is ready.

When the dumplings float to the surface, the dish is ready and can be served. Enjoy your meal, everyone!
