Korean-style pork
Description
The recipe won't take much time. There are quite a few variations of Korean-style pork. This version is the simplest, as the main focus is on the sauce. Nevertheless, this dish doesn't become mediocre due to the simple combination of accessible ingredients—in fact, quite the opposite. Serve hot.

Step 1

1. The key to the success of this dish is, of course, the marinade. To prepare it, take a hot tomato sauce (if you don't have a suitable one on hand, you can use a freshly made sauce by combining chopped tomatoes with chili pepper), a little soy sauce and sesame oil (if you don't have sesame oil, it's not recommended to substitute another oil). Mix everything together. Finely chop the peeled garlic. Peel the ginger and grate it. Add a little sugar to taste and sesame seeds to the sauce. Add some hot pepper (if you prefer really spicy dishes) or ground paprika. Mix thoroughly. It's best to taste the finished marinade so you can adjust the flavor, adding more sugar if needed, for example.

Step 2

2. For the Korean-style pork recipe, you can use any cut of meat you prefer. The meat should be washed, thoroughly dried, and then combined with the prepared marinade.

Step 3

3. Gently mix the meat by hand, making sure each piece is evenly coated with the sauce. Optionally, you can let the pork sit for 15–20 minutes, but it's not strictly necessary.

Step 4

4. The last ingredient will be onion. It needs to be peeled and sliced into medium half-rings. If the onion is large, it's better to use half of it.

Step 5

5. Pour a little vegetable oil into a frying pan (you can use any oil available). Add the meat, then place the onion on top. Stir and cook over medium heat until the meat becomes tender.

6. Korean-style pork at home goes best with boiled rice. Before serving, you can sprinkle the dish with a small amount of sesame seeds.
