
Pork knuckle in beer

We thoroughly wash the pork knuckles, remove any hairs (if present), and make several small cuts with a knife.

Peel 4-5 garlic cloves and roughly chop them.

Place the pork knuckles, sliced garlic, all the dry spices, and the peeled carrots and onion into a large saucepan. Then pour in the beer to cover.

Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, cover the pot with a lid, and simmer the knuckles in beer for 2 hours. After one and a half hours, you can add salt to the knuckles. Then let them cool slightly.

Cool the knuckles and rub them on all sides with a mixture of grated garlic and vegetable oil. Then place them on a baking sheet and put in a preheated oven at 180 degrees.

Bake the pork knuckles for 30 minutes at 180 degrees, then for 10 minutes at 200–220 degrees. Every 10 minutes, baste the knuckles with the marinade (in which they were boiled).
