
Beet kvass with honey
Description
The recipe won't take much time. Both adults and children will enjoy this colorful kvass; the only downside is the beet aroma, which can be neutralized with vanilla sugar, flavoring, etc. Be sure to chill the drink in the refrigerator before serving. Serve chilled.

Prepare the listed ingredients.

Peel the beetroot, rinse it in water, and grate it on a coarse grater.

Place the beet mixture into a saucepan, pour in hot water, bring the contents to a boil, then turn off the heat.

Strain through a fine-mesh sieve.

Pour the beet juice into a jar and cool to 30 degrees, then mix in the honey. Add the dry yeast and stir. Cover the container with gauze or a cloth towel, and leave it in a dark place at room temperature for 24 hours to ferment.
