Wedding bread and decoration
Description
The recipe won't take much time. To make the wedding bread and its decorations, prepare sweet dough similar to that used for Easter kulich. You can find the recipe on the website. Briefly: dissolve dry yeast, make a sponge with milk, then use the sponge to knead the dough with flour, eggs, and butter. The bread will turn out fluffy with a delicious crumb. However, make the decorations from unsweetened dough so they retain their shape during baking. The baked goods are ready. Serve at the table.
Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the molds for cutting out decorations. Make or buy a simple unleavened dough made from flour and water with the addition of vegetable oil. We will use this unleavened dough to make the decorations.
- 2
Step 2

Roll out the dough and use plungers (figured pastry cutters) to prepare leaf, flower, and other flat decorations. If you don't have plungers, you can cut the flat decorations with a knife.
- 3
Step 3

To make a rose, for example, cut out 5 circles the size of a 5-kopek coin, or even slightly smaller.
- 4
Step 4

Stack the rings on top of each other and roll them into a roll.
- 5
Step 5

It results in a small roll.
- 6
Step 6

Cut it in half.
- 7
Step 7

Place the halves on the flat cut side, and shape the edges into rose petals, as shown in the photo.
- 8
Step 8

You can also make a bunch of grapes, which is easy: roll small balls like grapes, and cut leaves out of the dough.
- 9
Step 9

While we were making the decorations, the dough rested in the baking pan. Before placing the decorations, be sure to brush the dough with egg yolk.
- 10
Step 10

And how to arrange the decorations on the surface is up to your imagination—there are no limits.
- 11
Step 11

And brush the decorations with egg white.
- 12
Step 12

You'll achieve a great effect: the yolk adds a golden color, while the egg white will keep the decorations white—making them stand out. Bake the loaves in a preheated oven at 170°C for about 45–50 minutes.

Step 13

And a joyful wedding!
