Step 1
So, let's start preparing the sushi rice. Pour the rice into a pot and add water. As soon as the rice comes to a boil, reduce the heat to the lowest setting and cook for 15 minutes. Remove the rice from the heat and let it stand for 10 minutes.

Step 2
Meanwhile, prepare the seasoning for the rice. Mix rice vinegar with salt and sugar. Pour the seasoning over the cooled rice and mix gently.

Step 3
Wash and clean the avocado and cucumber. Cut into long strips. Cut the crab meat the same way.

Step 4
Now we begin forming the sushi. Place a sheet of nori on the mat with the textured side facing up. Wet your hands with water and place a couple of spoonfuls of rice on the nori. With your fingers, spread the rice evenly over the entire surface of the nori. If you don't wet your hands with water, the rice will stick to your fingers.

Step 5
Flip the nori rice-side down and place it on a sushi mat wrapped in plastic. On top, arrange several strips of avocado, cucumber, and crab. Carefully roll into a tight roll using the mat.

Step 6
The roll will be rice-side up. Sprinkle the roll with toasted sesame seeds and cut it into 6 pieces with a sharp knife moistened with water.

Step 7
When serving, be sure to set out a small dish with soy sauce, wasabi paste, and pickled ginger. They pair wonderfully with the flavor of the rolls.
