Instructions
- 1
Step 1

Prepare the listed ingredients. Slicing 3-4 large apples will just fit on one baking sheet. You can dry several baking sheets at once in the oven.
- 2
Step 2

Wash the apples in water and cut them into quarters. Remove the core from each quarter and rinse. Slice the quarters into not too thick slices and place the slices into a deep container.
- 3
Step 3

Sprinkle the entire cut surface with lemon juice and gently mix. The juice will prevent the cut surface from browning.
- 4
Step 4

Line a baking sheet with foil and place the sliced meat on it. Preheat the oven to 60-70 degrees and put the baking sheet on the middle rack.
- 5
Step 5

Dry for about 1-2 hours, then turn off the oven and let the apple slices cool for another 2 hours. Then reheat the oven and dry the apple slices for another 1-2 hours at the same temperature.
- 6
Step 6

When the apple slices become dry and are no longer moist—they are fully ready. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let it cool completely.
- 7
Step 7

Place the dried apples on a plate or in a jar, container with a lid. Enjoy the taste of the preserve and store it in a dry, cool place.
