Croutons in the Microwave
Description
Perfect for the table and with drinks. If you still have plenty of beer but have run out of fish snacks and croutons, the microwave will come to the rescue. I have used this microwave crouton recipe many times. Croutons made this way are great with soups and salads. And, of course, they make a wonderful snack. This simple microwave crouton recipe will be your lifesaver. Microwave croutons, recipe: 1. Cut the bread (rye or white, either works) into small cubes. 2. Season with salt and drizzle with oil (olive is best, but sunflower works too if needed). 3. Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press. 4. Add the pressed garlic to the bread and mix well. 5. Put the dish with the bread in the microwave for about 3 minutes at 750 watts. 6. Check; if they are not quite toasted enough, microwave for another 30 seconds. 7. Grate the cheese finely, sprinkle the croutons with cheese, and microwave for 30 seconds. 8. Let them cool slightly, shake to separate, and serve.
