
Pike-perch à la monastery

Step 1

Defrost the pike-perch fillet beforehand if you are using frozen fish. Rinse and dry it, cut into large pieces, and place in a bowl. Add soy sauce and spices to the fish. Let the fish marinate for half an hour.

Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil folded several times. Grease the foil with vegetable oil and place the pieces of marinated fish on it.

Sprinkle the fish with vegetable oil. Then peel and slice the onion into rings. Evenly distribute the prepared onion over the pike-perch. Bake the fish for half an hour at 180 degrees until cooked.

While the fish is cooking, prepare the side dish. Peel and slice the potatoes into rounds. Place them on a separate baking sheet lined with foil and drizzle with oil. Season with salt to taste. Also put in the oven and bake for twenty minutes.

Serve the cooked fish hot with a warm side dish of baked potatoes. You can also sprinkle the dish with chopped herbs and serve it with additional vegetables.
