Green beans with minced meat
Description
The recipe won't take much time. In my family, this dish is one of our favorite summer meals: I appreciate its vegetable component, while my husband is happy about the meat ;) It cooks very quickly (especially if the minced meat is already prepared) and gets eaten up in one go! So, here's the recipe for green beans with minced meat: 1. First, wash the beans, trim the ends of the pods, and boil them in salted boiling water for just 5 minutes. Then drain in a colander and let the water drip off. 2. Peel the onion. 3. In a frying pan, heat oil and sauté finely chopped onion until golden. Add the minced meat, mix well, and cook for another 10 minutes over medium heat, uncovered. 4. Season with salt and pepper. 5. Add tomato paste or chopped tomatoes to the pan. If the paste is too sour, add a bit of sugar. 6. Stir and simmer for just a couple of minutes. 7. Add the beans and a bay leaf, pour in some water or broth, cover with a lid, and cook for 10–15 minutes, until the beans are easily pierced with the tip of a knife. 8. Green beans with minced meat are ready ;) Serve hot.
