    1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees. Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats. In a small bowl, mix together milk, salt, and sugar; set aside. Cut ham into cubes. Finely chop red onion and garlic. Dice bell pepper. Grate Provolone and Mozzarella, finely grate Parmesan. Mash the sausage with a spoon and cook in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet. Drain all but 1 tablespoon of fat from the skillet. Add ham, onion, and bell pepper. Cook, stirring, until very soft and slightly browned, 5 to 8 minutes. Add garlic and cook, stirring constantly, for 1 minute. Remove from heat and let cool. Divide the dough in half. Roll one half of the dough into a 25x35 cm rectangle and place it onto the prepared baking sheet.

    4. Brush the rolls with the milk mixture. Bake until golden brown, about 20 minutes. Sprinkle the stromboli with grated Parmesan cheese, return to the oven, and bake until the cheese melts, about 5 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool for 10 minutes. Slice the stromboli and serve with sauce.
