Description

You can prepare a wonderful sterlet dish without interrupting your daily routine, for example, using a multicooker. The appliance will handle the cooking on its own, while you just need to prepare a side dish of vegetables, grains, or pasta to serve everything together for lunch or dinner.

    Prepare the listed ingredients. Rinse the sterlet in water, pour boiling water over it, and remove the innards from each fish. Peel the onion and rinse it in water. You can optionally use garlic if you enjoy its aroma and flavor.

    Cut the sterlet in half and place it in the multicooker bowl. Slice the onion into half-rings or quarters and add it to the fish. At this stage, you can also add garlic, tomatoes, bell pepper, celery, and other vegetables according to your taste.

    Pour in hot water, add salt and bay leaves. You can enhance the spices with ground black pepper or whole peppercorns. Set your multicooker to the "Stewing" or "Boiling" mode for 30 minutes. This time is sufficient for the fish to cook thoroughly. Most importantly, use hot water from the start so the appliance doesn't waste time heating it up.
