Pork steak in the oven
Description
The recipe won't take much time. For cooking, I buy ready-made pork steaks (about 5 pieces per kilogram). Bone-in steaks are suitable only for the oven, otherwise the meat near the bone won't cook properly in a pan. You can marinate this meat with any spices—I've tried many variations, from simple salt and pepper to ginger and garlic. Serve hot.

Step 1

1. First, I wash and thoroughly dry the pieces of pork, then place them on a plate.

Step 2

2. Rub the meat on both sides with salt and ground white pepper, then spread a small amount of mayonnaise and mustard on each piece, smoothing them out.

Step 3

3. Wash the tomatoes and slice them thinly (into rings, half-rings, or any other shape), then place a few slices on each piece. Wash the herbs and place several sprigs on top.

Step 4

4. Carefully transfer the steak into a baking bag (make sure the tomatoes don't fall out), move everything onto a baking sheet or into a baking dish, and place in a preheated oven at 220-250 degrees Celsius for 1 hour (approximately, possibly a little more or less).

5. Serve the ready pork steaks with roasted vegetables (I used bell peppers) and fresh herbs.
