Mackerel in the oven
Description
I present to you a recipe for mackerel baked in the oven. I hope this simple recipe will come in handy more than once: 1. Clean the mackerel, cut off the heads, wash, and optionally cut into portion-sized pieces or leave whole. 2. Salt the fish, sprinkle with fish spices on all sides, and let it marinate while we prepare the vegetables. 3. Boil the potatoes until half-cooked, cool, and slice into 1 cm thick rings. 4. Peel the onion and carrots. Slice the onion into half-rings, grate the carrots on a coarse grater or slice into half-rings. 5. Grease a deep baking dish with vegetable oil, place the potatoes inside, and season with salt and pepper. 6. Add a layer of onion and carrots (use half of the total amount). 7. Place the prepared fish on top, then cover with the remaining onion and carrots. 8. Spread sour cream over the top, cover the dish with a lid or foil, and bake in the oven for 30–35 minutes. 9. Remove the lid or foil and let the fish brown for another 10 minutes. Serve hot.
